Part Number Matching

Conexiom Express now offers the ability to match part numbers on documents where part-number information is partial or missing entirely, as can be the case especially with unstructured or handwritten documents.

From the description field, Express extracts the description and matches it to previously populated tables that contain part numbers from either a catalog that was downloaded (when available) or from the previous customer history of approvals.

Upon selection, Express then displays a menu of the three most likely matches from which to choose. For each choice, the menu also offers and this relevant information:

• A confidence score, (such as 72%)

• The description it matched, (such as “1 inch pipe”)

• The source of the match, (Part Catalog, Document Extraction, Historical Documents)

Enhancing part number matching will reduce manual effort and enable better decision making through relevant recommendations.
