Sold-To ID And Trading Partner Fields In Express
Express uses the Trading Partner and Sold-To ID fields to process documents accurately.
In Express, accurate predictions depend on the system understanding the relationship between document layouts and the Trading Partner (TP) and Sold-To ID. Once established, the system treats the two as a linked pair and uses this association to improve future predictions.
Initial Manual Entry and System Learning
If a document comes from a Trading Partner new to Express, the system can’t match it to a known Sold-To/TP pair. In this case, both fields must be entered manually. Once provided:

The system links the document layout to the TP and Sold-To ID.

This association is stored and used to recognize and process future documents with similar structure.

From that point on, field predictions will rely on this stored TP/Sold-To context, improving speed and accuracy.

System shows an alert, even if autopilot is enabled. If the system cannot recognize one or both fields, you can either enter them manually (if the pair hasn't been saved before) or select from the full list of saved Trading Partners using the dropdown menu. Recently used entries appear at the top, and a search bar is available for quick lookup. Selecting a saved pair will automatically populate the relevant fields. |
Updating an existing Trading Partner name |
You can update the TP name if needed. Express will prompt you to confirm the change and ensure it aligns with existing associations. |
Updating the Sold-To ID |
If the new Sold-To ID has not been used before and does not match an existing TP name, a new profile will be created. If it matches an existing TP name or ID, the system will block the update to prevent duplicate associations. |
Multiple TP/Sold-To pairs share the same layout |
System may predict the wrong pair. Always double-check and adjust as needed. |
