Settings for Navigator

Working with Navigator's settings, including cost and automation metrics.

Settings

Settings give you the ability to adjust values for key data calculations by customizing costs, thresholds and automation targets. This allows you greater control over how data is presented and performance is tracked. Tracking, in turn, helps you improve automation rates, evaluate progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities in order to align with specific business goals.

To access the Settings page, follow these steps:

  1. From the Navigation Bar near the bottom of the left side of your screen, click Settings. The Settings page displays.
  2. Click Navigator Settings. Controls specific to Navigator display.

Cost Metrics

You can define cost for each rejection of a document and each manual edit made to a document based on your own calculations. This creates a data point for cost-to-serve analysis, providing insights into how manual and automated processes influence overall costs. These metrics can help identify areas where efficiency can be improved and costs reduced, enabling informed decisions.

To set the Cost per Rejection metric and the Cost per Edit, enter dollar amount into the corresponding field.

Target Automation Metrics

With the Target Automation settings, you can define a desired level of automation across all trading partners. By setting a specific percentage, this value becomes a baseline for measuring other data and assessing performance.

Refine goals further by activating thresholds, such as the maximum number of manual edits allowed in a document, the maximum automated corrections, and the maximum data transformations. These thresholds act as guardrails, ensuring that automation aligns with the company’s specific needs and operational objectives.

Target Automation

For Target Automation, set a percentage for the amount of automation you would like to see across trading partners.

Thresholds

To activate thresholds, click the toggle switch to turn it on or off and enter a number you believe is appropriate in the corresponding field.
