Setting User-Permission Profiles

User permissions are defined by user profiles. These profiles are based on the role that a user has been assigned within a company.

Only Super Users can edit profiles. If you are a Super User, you can edit any profile except the Super User profile itself. To change the Super User profile or to create new user profiles, contact support.

Editing Profiles with the Permissions Dashboard

To edit a user profile, follow these steps:

From the Company tab, click Options.
From the menu that displays, click Permissions.
From the menu, select the user profile you want to edit. The Permissions Dashboard displays.
From the Permissions Dashboard, click the toggle switch for the application feature that listing describes.
- For example, to allow managing and resolving document alerts, click the toggle switch on the first line of the Permissions Dashboard, titled “Alerts.
  
  The switches are defined in the in the table below with a green checkmark designating what the default position is.
To save your changes, click Save Changes. The settings are applied to the profiles and, on their next login, they are applied to the user accounts that are impacted.

Alerts - Hide Unknown Customer Alerts	If enabled, user role is unable to see all Unknown Customer alerts

Configuration Studio	Create and manage document configurations.
Customer List	Allows accessing, adding and managing Customers.
Customer List - Limited	Cannot Add and Delete Customers.
Dashboard	Gives a full access to the data visualization of metrics and key performance indicators.
Dashboard - Read Only	Gives a read only access to the data visualization of metrics and key performance indicators.
Document Details	Allows managing a list of documents.
Document List Process Button	Allows to process documents.
Documents	Allows to use Document Page REGARDLESS OF ACCESS RESTRICTION RULES.
Edit Cross Reference	Ability to modify, add, or delete cross reference tables. *This will disable only the user's ability to edit through the customer’s page. If users have access to Exception Manager, they can still edit the cross reference using the plugin.*
Edit Security Settings	Ability to modify security settings.
Edit Status Check	Allows editing validation status checks.
Forward Alert/Document for Approval	Ability to access the "Global Edit" option and the "Assignee" column in the Alerts page and the "Forward for Approval" button in MyEditor.
Assignee - Administrator / Dashboard User (and other applicable user profiles)	Only able to forward documents to assignees with selected role type.
ReadOnly Cross Reference	Gives a read only access to the cross reference tables.
Resources	Allows viewing Portal Resources.
Rules-Based Order Processing Edit	Ability to edit the Match Rule for rules-based order processing.
Tools	Allows managing a list of users and security settings.
View Reports	Ability to view reports on all customers regardless of access restrictions.
